Choose the right image workflow
Image editing works best when each operation has one clear purpose. Crop first when composition or aspect ratio is wrong, resize when pixel dimensions are too large, and compress last to reduce transfer size. Converting format is useful when a destination requires JPG, PNG or WebP.
Keeping an untouched original prevents quality loss from repeated exports. Create a new output for each destination instead of reopening an already compressed copy and processing it again.
JPG, PNG and WebP in practice
JPG is widely compatible and efficient for photographs but cannot keep transparency. PNG preserves transparent pixels and sharp graphic edges, although photographic files can be large. WebP often gives smaller web images and can preserve transparency.
The smallest format is not always the best choice. Check the result at normal viewing size, confirm that transparent areas render correctly and retain enough resolution for the intended screen or print use.
Privacy and browser limits
NoFussKit image editors run in the browser, so selected files are not uploaded to our server. The browser still needs memory to decode the original and create the result, which is why very large dimensions can be more demanding than the compressed file size suggests.
For reliable mobile processing, close unused tabs and work from the largest clean original once. Every tool states its accepted formats and limits before processing.
