FAQ
No. Counting happens locally in your browser.
Bytes measure technical text size; some characters can use more than one byte.
Character count uses the JavaScript string length, while the no-spaces value removes whitespace such as spaces, tabs and line breaks. Digits count numeric Unicode characters.
Word detection recognizes letters and numbers across many writing systems. Results can differ slightly from a platform that uses its own rules for emoji, punctuation or combined characters.
Bytes are measured with UTF-8 encoding. Basic Latin characters commonly use one byte, while accented letters, Arabic, Hindi and emoji can require multiple bytes.
This distinction matters for databases, APIs, SMS gateways and technical fields that limit storage size rather than visible character count.
Every line break creates another line. Paragraphs require a blank line between blocks, so text copied from an editor may need cleanup before the paragraph count matches its visual layout.
Trailing spaces still count as characters. Use the no-spaces result when whitespace should not affect a limit, but preserve the original text if formatting matters.
Use the counter while drafting titles, descriptions, metadata, form fields or messages. Always confirm whether the destination counts spaces, line breaks, emoji or URLs differently.
NoFussKit does not truncate text automatically. You decide what to remove, so meaning and important names are not lost without review.
